How To Wear Pastels

After last season's neon explosion, it's time to tone down your wardrobe with pastels. Do you like ice cream? You better, because this Spring is all about ice-creamy greens, baby blues, lavenders, powder pinks and soft yellows. The best part about pastels- there is no boundary as how to wear them. They fit any silhouette, style, shape or form. There are a few ways on how to include this feminine trend in your wardrobe. I offer you some:

CANDY CRUSH
The biggest hit to wear pastels this season is from head to toe! I bet you're asking yourself How am I supposed to wear them without looking like an ice cream sundae? The catch is to wear simple cuts and don't exaggerate with accessories. As far as combining colors goes- there aren't any rules. Mint green blouse with baby blue pants, lavender skirt with peach crop top or soft pink suit. If you need some visual proof that this can actually look good, here they are:

NEUTRAL MIX
If #AllPastelErrthang thing is too much for you, no worries, you can still be trendy by not being covered in pastels from head to toe. How? Mix them with neutrals. I'm sure you have some white skirt, washed-out jeans or sandy blazer in your closet. Use them as your base and add one or two pastel pieces. This way you won't feel overwhelmed but still be in trend.

POP OF RED
Who knew pastels can look so good in combination with bright red! I feel like a pop of red adds a sexy touch to the whole look and breaks the softness of pastels. I suggest this kind of combination to those with pale skin. Red will add some contrast to your outfit and make it look very modern.

So, tell me, how are you going to wear your pastels? I can't wait to hear your thought in the comments! Xo

2014 Spring Trends

Fashion weeks have come to an end and so has the winter. I can't wait to replace fur coat for a trench, sweaters for crop tops and boots for pointed flats. Spring is slowly coming to town and so are next season's trends. I present to you my TOP 10, which every girl should have in her closet. Here they are:

PASTELS
Pastels have already hit the blogosphere and there's no doubt that this ice-creamy trend will get even bigger in Spring. The best thing about pastels is that you can pick your most-flattering color and wear it with whatever silhouette flatters you. From baby blue pencil skirt to lilac sporty dress- the sky's the limit on how pastel-happy you want to get. Burberry Prorsum has some great pieces to get inspired from.

FULL SKIRTS
The voluminous and ladylike, calf-covering full skirt is one of the few trends from Spring 2014 that says we can slack the gym every now and then. The silhouette feels innately formal but that doesn't mean you can't style it down. Just thuck in some oversized sweater or wear it with leather jacket to add some edge.

CROP TOPS
One of my favourite trends for the upcoming season! Crop tops come in all forms and sleeve lenghts and are easy to combine with anything that's high-waisted. Skinny girls with abs can choose more or less any model, but if you have some sexy curves to show, I suggest you opt for a loose top (like Kim Kardashian).

WIDE-LEG TROUSERS
Switch your favourite skinnies with a wide-leg trousers and let your legs finally breath. They are easy to wear and look ultra chic. I suggest you choose ones with the high waist to elongate your figure. Wear them with high heels and they'll make you look like a supermodel! ;)

BOMBER JACKETS
Bomber jacket is one of those versatile pieces that you can wear with almost anything. Pair it with girly dress to add some edge to the whole look or wear it with dressy shorts to complement the athletic chicness. This Spring is all about colorful prints, luxe texture and sporty-cool detailing, so be bold and make a statement!

MESH
When we saw Alexander Wang's sheer stripe neoprene sweatshirt with lasercut 'Parental Advisory' logo, mesh trend went to a whole new level. 'Less is more' no longer applies, but apparently the more skin you show, the better. Just see how Riri & Katy rock this trend!

GEOMETRIC PRINTS
Grids, triangles and concentric circles will be ruling this Spring. Forget about wearing only one bold piece of clothing. You will make a true statement by wearing a dress or a two-piece with different geometric prints. Add monochrome bag and nude shoes to avoid looking like a court jester.

BUCKET BAGS & BACKPACKS
As much as we love a sleek clutch or a cute mini handbag, our everyday bag needs to be a little more roomy for all our accessories. When Cara stepped on the fashion scene, backpacks did it with her. Suddenly we saw them at Chanel fashion show, in YSL stores, on the streets,.. it seems like they are replacing our everyday shoulder bags. I mean, I totally get it, they're just so practical, who wouldn't want one?!

NON-BLACK LEATHER JACKET
Classic leather jacket times are over! It's time to replace your favourite black leather jacket with something brighter. Add a new hue into the mix and go for a baby blue, fuchsia or sunny yellow color. They can be a great addition to casual b&w looks and add a touch of energy to any outfit.

ATHLETIC STYLE
An athletic aestethic clearly took over runways, most notably, baseball caps, tennis-inspired dresses and varsity jackets. Wear them separate or all together, but don't forget to add a touch of elegance. Sporty sweater worn with pencil skirt or sneakers combined with flirty dress will do the trick.
