Fashion Police at the 2014 Teen Choice Awards

All those formal award shows with fancy red carpets can be quite dull and too serious since everyone looks kind of retained and professional. But when it comes to Teen Choice Awards is all about fun and relaxed atmosphere with celebrities smiling and being dressed up in playful and colorful outfits. This years awards, held at the Shrine Auditorium in Los Angeles and hosted by Sarah Hyland (Modern Family) and Tyler Posey (Teen Wolf), were no different. On blue carpet we saw a little bit of everything- fom Kendall and Selena's jumpsuits to Chloe and Taylor's crop tops to Zendaya and Bella's flirty frocks. Take a look at some of my favourite outfits and read my opinions about the looks. Time for Fashion Police!

 

Chloe Moretz in Valentino (10/10)
Chloe really hit the jackpot with this look. It's fun, chic and sexy and it shows just the right amount of skin. Totally loving it!

 

Janel Parrish in Contrarian NYC (6/10)

As much as I like to watch PLL, I'm not quite feeling this look.The upper part with emerald crop top, fuchsia lip and wavy hair is great, but the maxi skirt is too maxi for her. She should cut off a few centimeters.

 

Kylie Jenner (7/10)
Kylie, who celebrated her 17th birthday yesterday, developed unique style through recent years and I love how she always stays true to it. This combination of asymmetrical skirt and crop top works great on her body, I just miss some more jewelry that would give the outfit her signature style.

 

Shay Mitchell (10/10)
Oh wow, Shay went to a whole new level with this stunning lace two-piece. It's super feminine, ultra chic and smoking hot. I give her my vote for the sexiest look of the night!

Bella Thorne in Johnny Wujek for Candies (9/10)
Isn't this just the most adorable dress you've ever seen? I love the model, bright blue color and floral print. Bella looks like a real-life Disney princess. The only thing I would change is her hair- she should totally go blonde!

 

Cher Lloyd in Amen (10/10)

Ulala, Cher went for a smoking hot look and totally nailed it. Young singer maintained her edgy style with rock-chic bustier top and sheer sleeves and give it a sexy touch with mini black shorts. Hot hot hot!

Kendall Jenner in Oriett Domenech (8/10)
I dare to say that Kendall is becoming the next style icon. Her fashion-forward outfits always fill me with excitement and this elegant white trousers-and-top set (with sexy open back) is no exception. She looks ah-mazing from H to T!

Odeya Rush in Monique Lhuillier (10/10)
Red color in combination with delicate lace always makes the perfect look. I'm in love with this gorgeous dress and Odeya's smile makes the whole outfit look perfect.

Nina Dobrev in Vionnet (9/10)
The Let's Be Cops actress totally impressed me with her matching tie-dye top and shorts combined with fuchsia suede heels. It looks modern, fresh and ultra chic.

Selena Gomez in Saint Laurent (10/10)
Selena seems to never dissapoint me. She looks elegant, sexy and all grown up in this black Saint Laurent jumpsuit with silver accessories.

Zendaya in Material Girl (7/10)
Everytime a photo of Zendaya pops out she surprises with a whole new image. Aparently this time she went for elegance. I love the pink color and model of the dress, but feel like it's too serious for her. At the end, she's only 17 and has plenty of time to grow up.

Sarah Hayland in Marc Jacobs (8/10)
Sarah looks smoking hot in a plunging neckline LBD and her sleek ponytail gives the whole look a fresh vibe. Maybe she could change the shoes though. Some classic stilletos would complete the outfit perfectly.

What To Wear To Coachella

As summer comes, so do festivals. Singing and dancing in the open air to your favourite song, surrounded by thousands of happy people and positive vibe are the things that always fill me with positive energy and give me that carefree feeling. Ever since I attended my first festival three years ago I can't stop (and I won't stop). Every year I find some new and just want to visit them all! Planning the latter always gets me thinking about my outfits. Festival fashion has gotten so big over the last two years and celebrities are often filling the media with their eye catching Coachella outfits. They set the bar very high and this is why planning your festival look requires a whole lot of thinking. After all, you never know when some street-style photographer catches you on his camera or online magazine publishes your festive look in their spread. With all that said, I give you some inspiration for upcoming festivals that you might attend. Which style is your favourite?

Ko pomislim na poletje, pomislim na festivale. Teh je vsako leto več in čeprav so še zmeraj glasbeniki tisti, ki so v središču pozornosti, pa je zadnji dve leti ogromno govora tudi o festivalski modi. S tem, ko so se na Coachelli pojavile zvezdnice v njihovih do potankosti načrtovanih festivalskih opravah, se je tudi moda razširila na novo področje. Spletne trgovine so začele izdelovati linije, ustvarjene posebej za festivale in s tem še dodatno povečale pomembnost oblačenja za glasbene koncerte. Na festival namreč ni več mogoče iti ne da bi pred tem dodobra načrtoval svoj outfit. Nenazadnje nikoli ne veš kdaj te v objektiv ujame kak modni fotograf ali tvoj stajling na svojem blogu objavi znan modni bloger! ;) Vsem, ki se pred koncem poletja odpravljate na kak podoben dogodek ponujam nekaj navdiha in festivalskih outfitov.

BOHEMIAN BABE

Bohemian style is the most popular among music festivals. It has that laid-back vibe but is still very playful and feminine. Long tie-dye dresses, hippie sunnies, gladiators and floral crowns are mush-haves for this look. Don't forget boho bag and stack of colorful friendship bracelets for the perfect finish.

Boemski stil je tisti, ki je na glasbenih festivalih najbolj popularen. Daje vtis ležernosti, a je kljub temu igriv in ženstven. Osnovni kosi takšnega stila so dolga tie-dye obleka, okrogla hippie sončna očala in gladiatorke, v laseh pa obvezni dodatki, pa naj bodo to rožasti venci ali barvni šali.

ROCKER CHICK

This style is for all those rocker chicks that are wild at heart. It's all about black color, leather jackets and smokey eyes. Do you still have that old tee of your favourite band from the 90's? Now it's time to wear it! Combine it with some denim shorts and Dr. Martens, add dark red lipstick and you're ready to rock!

Za tiste bolj divje po srcu je primernejši drzen rokerski stil, ki ga zaznamuje črna barva. Kratke jeans hlače v kombinaciji z majico tvojega najljubšega banda naj ti služijo kot osnova, to pa nadgradi z bulerji in usnjeno jakno s franžami. Izgled dokončaj z zadimljenimi očmi in temnimi ustnicami- drzno, skrivnostno in seksi.

LOVELY LADY

For all those girly girls with flirty, romantic and elegant style (like myself) is this look the most suitable. Combos of high-waisted skirts or shorts and crop tops are a great way to express your ladylike style. If you want to cover your belly, go for a white lace dress and pair it with small cross body bag and cute hat.

Za tiste z bolj elegantnim, romantičnim stilom (med katere sodim tudi jaz), so odlična ideja kombinirani vzorčasti seti s hlačami ali krilom z visokim pasom in ujemajočim se kratkim topom. Alternativa so tudi čipkaste ali vzorčaste oblekice, ki jih lahko kombiniraš z modno jeans jakno. Temu dodaj še ženstven klobuk in torbico za čez ramo.

Even though it's important how you're dressed, don't overthink it. At the end, you're there to enjoy. So let the music take you, dance like crazy and leave your phone in your purse for a while. Feel the good vibe and forget all your worries because that's what's most important. Have fun! Xoxo

Čeprav je pomembno kaj imaš na festivalu oblečeno, pa se z izbiro outfita kljub temu ne obremenjuj preveč. Nenazadnje si tam zato, da uživaš. Prepusti se glasbi, pleši kot nora in vsaj za nekaj časa pusti telefon v svoji torbici. Prepusti se dobri energiji in pozabi na vse skrbi! Xoxo
