Top 5 Spring Trends

Talking about the trends, this season is all about the revival of the 70's with mega bell bottoms, denim skirts, bare shoulders and lots of fringes. I'm sure by now you've already done your yearly Spring cleaning (if not - what are you waiting for?!) and can't wait to fill your closet with these new trendy pieces. So let's see what you need to look for when going shopping..

1. GINGHAM
Gingham is definitely one of the biggest trends this season. This tablecloth fabric that was once reserved only for picnics got a whole new way of presenting itself. From chic blouses to long sheer dresses, it comes in a huge range of colors and various shapes & fabrics. Try mixing it with different patterns to create the most stylish looks.

2. ALL-DENIM-EVERYTHING
Forget about the usual combinations of adding just one denim piece to your look. This Spring you need to go all the way and cover yourself in denim from head to toe. Think jeans with denim shirt and denim jacket over it. Or even better, think Justin and Britney in their matchy denim outfits back in the 2001.

3. BOHO CHIC
This season is all about the 70's so to embrace the spirit of this era, long lightweight hippie-chic dresses are the way to go. They are so versatile and perfect for all kinds of occasions - outdoor festivals, brunches with your friends or parties at the beach. Don't forget to properly accessorize them - lots of bracelets and different stones will make this bohemian look even more chic.

4. OFF-SHOULDER
Forget about showing your abs in crop tops, this season is all about bare shoulders. It's a trend that's sexy in a sophisticated kind of way and perfect for day-to-night outfits. Choose a loose ruffled off-shoulder top and pair it with high-waisted pants for a daytime errands and for an evening out change into a more chic version by showing your shoulders in an elegant bodycon dress.

5. SPRING SUEDE
Suede is making a big comeback this season. This soft, delicate and eternally chic fabric will bring the hippie vibe into your wardrobe. Spring trends require monochromatic soft hues and feminine shapes so go for an A-line skirt or dress and accessorize it with a belt to emphasize your sexy curves.

So tell me, what do you think about this season's trends? Do you like the vibe of 70's? Let me know in the comments! :) Xoxo

Ljubljana Fashion Week

They say you never forget your first and they're right - I will always remember mine. Fashion week that is. I've never attended one, so you can imagine my big excitement when they approved my accreditation for Ljubljana FW, the biggest fashion event in our country. It lasted for 4 days and took place in a big tent at the Congress Square. I was quite impressed with the organization and service, which was on a very high level. Free cocktails after every show? Yes, please! There were two sets of shows each day and I watched four of them. I have to admit that I wasn't expecting much, since Slovenian designers tend to have very non-wearable collections, but some of them really surprised me. I can't say that any of the collections left a huge impact on me as a whole, but I definitely saw some amazing pieces - bright fur jackets from Krznarstvo Eber, the prettiest pink coat from Maja Ferme Fashion and subtile black lace dresses by Tanja Zorn in the style of Dolce & Gabbana, which I wouldn't mind wearing.. at all.

I attended the shows with my friend Katja from I Love Fashion (who's with me on the photo) and we've had so much fun together. I guess the best part of it all was being able to see all the hustle and buste of the event from up close and meeting new people from fashion industry. I feel like it's important to seize this kind of opportunities not only to see the new collections, but also to network and create new contacts with people from your field of work. You never know when their business card can come in handy and somehow helps you on your career path.

Going back to the collections I feel like overall Slovenian designers did a great job and that some of designs could easily stand alongside world's biggest names in the fashion industry. Take a look at some of the looks from the shows that I attended and tell me what you think about them. Which ones are your favourite?

Coachella Trend: Kimono

Hey, hey, Coachella is only a day away! Even though I'm not going to be there, I love to think about the festive outfits I'd wear. I mean, that's the whole point about it, right? Yes, there are some musicians too, but I'm sure no one pays attention to them. It's all about the celebrities and their creative outfits (actually the real situation isn't that far from my sarcasm). Every year we see a lot of printed rompers, jeans shorts, flower crowns, floppy hats, white lace dresses and.. kimonos. They've became popular thanks to Kendall Jenner wearing one last year and I think they still are an essential Coachella piece, that can make any basic look much more stylish and very festival-appropriate. And with the right accessories, it can also be worn in your everyday life (just look at the first photo).

Here are my 11 favourite picks. Which one would you wear and how would you style it?

Pretty Easter Ideas

I still remember celebrating Easter from when I was a kid (Lil' K. with chubby cheeks). My grandma has always decorated the table with little chocolate eggs and fluffy little chickens and put on her blue and white Rosenthal porcelain with napkins in the same pattern. She has also hidden some presents for me and my brother all around the house, which we were always sooo excited to hunt. Now, twelve years later there aren't any presents anymore (unfortunately), but tradition with pretty Easter decorations, delicious food and happy family remains the same. And of course for me Easter is also a great excuse to put on some cute pastel dress and funny bunny ears to celebrate this holiday in style!

Here I've gathered some of delicious food ideas and the prettiest easter decorations that are easy to do at home and of course some girly outfit suggestions to wear on this lovely day (just click on the text under the photo for more information and tutorial).
