How Long Can You Use Certain Makeup?

So last week I had a big cleaning action in my makeup department and I found so many unused products that are already out of date. I realized I've never really thought about their ife span. You know when lipsticks or lipglosses get a specific smell? It means they're expired. It might soundy silly, but makeup is like food - it has its expiration date. So if you're in doubt how long you can  use certain products, here is the list of their life span:

24 MONTHS
Loose powder foundations
Bronzers
Blushes
Eyeshadows
Pencil eyeliners

18-24 MONTHS
Lip glosses

18 MONTHS
Cream compact powders

12-18 MONTHS
Cream eyeshadows
Cream blushes
Correctors
Concealers

12 MONTHS
Lipsticks
Lip pencils

3 MONTHS
Liquid or gel liners
Mascaras

1 MONTH
Foundations without oil

Top 5 Most Useful Mobile Apps

1. CLUE
Keep a track of your period like a pro! Clue allows you to monitor your periods and record your bleeding, pain and mood through every day of it. The app shows you your whole cycle and fertile window and calculates your next period. Very practical.

2. REMOTE MOUSE
You know that feeling when you put a movie on your computer, lie on a couch and cover in blankets but then realize that you forgot to press Play button? Because you're too lazy to stand up again, you use the Remote mouse which allows you to manage your computer through phone. It connects to your PC via wi-fi and then you can use it as a computer mouse. Perfect solution for lazy people!

3. 1PASSWORD
If you're one of those who often forget their passwords, than this app is perfect for you. It allows you to have all the passwords under one roof. They are divided into categories of Logins, Secure Notes, and Credit Cards. The Logins section also has built-in options that you can choose from. For example Facebook, Amazon, Yutube or whatever. You just click it and save your username + password. The app is secured by touch ID so you don't have to worry that someone else might find your secret codes.

4. TIMEGLASS
This app will make your life more organized. It has many timers, that can run all at the same time (which is impossible with built-in iPhone timer), so you'll keep a track of your daily routines much easier. Timers also have multiple steps, which is great for workout routines or cooking. And while preparing your chicken or doing the crunches, you don't even have to look at the screen, because Spoken timers can read the recipe for you. Cool, right?

5. AROUND ME
Now this is the app that I use the most of all five. It shows you all the restaurants, petrol stations, pubs or hotels that are closest to you. How many times have you been wandering around looking for ANTM? Well, not anymore, because with AroundMe you'll find it in no time (Wow, this sounded like a commercial). Anyway, just dowload it and you'll see that is indispensable.

Now tell me, which are your most useful apps?

The Best Fashion Week Collections

Every fashion week season I like to do "The Best Of" recap, where I sum up all of my favourite looks from different designers. Now I don't do this just to show you my favourites but also to get an overview of what will be trendy next season.

Then when the time comes, I look at my old posts, scan all the looks and get the basic idea about the trends. But then the problem occurs - where do I find pieces like that? Now I don't have thousands of euros to spend on luxury brands and low-end brands don't sell clothes like that. Just some oversized, poorly made pieces that hide all the body proportions. C'mon! I want tailored shirts and dresses, I want to show my feminine curves and not wear some unisex hoodies. I mean, equality also has its limits! Women and men are meant to be different, not to wear the same clothes. This oversized fashion has been in trend for way too long and it's time to go out. Who's with me?

All that being said, let's focus on the runway. I'm so happy that Michael Kors and Oscar de la Renta are back in the game with chic feminine pieces and clean cuts. Actually, when I look at the collections, I can say that they're all quite similar. There are a lot of black and whites with chic embelishments, flowers, low V-necks and sheer. Now this is what I like.

It also happend for the first time that Chanel dissapointed me and D&G was a little bit too kitschy for my taste. The designer that stands out of my favourites the most is Anya Hindmarch with pastel hues, clean cuts and soft edges. Which one is your favourite?

5 Lipstick Colors Every Girl Needs

It's common sense that a good lipstick can make or break your look. Leaving trends asside, there are 5 lipstick colors that never go out of style and that every woman should have in her collection. Of course not every shade suits every skin tone, so it's important to know your undertone before you go buying a lipstick. If you're not sure whether your undertone is more of a warm, cold or neutral, here are a few advice that will help you find that out. Once you know that, you can easily choose a shade that will suit you perfectly and nicely compliment your skin tone and your whole look.

CLASSIC RED
Nothing creates more sophisticated look than classic red lipstick. Just ask Marilyn Monroe or Taylor Swift! It's a shade that gives you power and boosts your confidence. And the best part? It goes with (almost) any eye makeup - shimmery champagne for daytime or bold winged eyeliner to wear at night. I like to wear it when I feel down and it's crazy how a simple red lipstick can lift my mood in just seconds! When buying red lipstick I suggest you go for the most classic shade that suits every skin tone. Try this one from Nars or go for a matte finish with Pure Red Lipstick from NYX.

I use: Etude House Etoinette Crystal Shine Lipstick in the shade PPK006 (read my review about it here).

PRETTY PINK
Pretty pink lipstick will brighten your face and create very feminine look. Combined with some subtile pink blush it will give your face soft and fresh look. When wearing pink lips, go for more natural makeup by applying gold or bright plum shades. Rimmel's Soft Blush Lasting Finish Lipstick is perfect if you prefer softer pink shades, or YSL's Rouge Volupte Shine for more striking pink color.

I use: NYX Butter Lipstick in the shade Fizzies (for Slovenian readers available here).

NUDE
I was never a fan of nude lips, but this was until I've found the right shade for me. Now I use it almost every day, since it's so easy to be worn and perfect for when you don't want your lips to be the center of attention. During the day it can be worn with any natural makeup and at night time it will make a great complement to a smoky eye. But like I said, it's not easy no find the right nude shadow for your skin. When buying nude lipstick be careful not to choose a shade that is too bright. Always go two shades darker than your natural lips. Try this one from Lipstick Queen.

I use: NYX Butter Lipstick in the shade Pops (for Slovenian readers available here).

CORAL
Coral lips are fun & fresh and perfect to brighten up your everyday look. Coral lipstick is appropriate for every age and every occasion, especially in spring and summer time. I love to wear coral lips with my floral summer dresses or even when I'm at the beach and need some color to compiment my sun-tanned skin. I like to stick to the shades with more pink undertone (like this one from L'oreal), but of course you can also go for more orange-y shade that will make your lips very juicy!

I use: Essence in the shade Coral Calling (available in DM or Muller).

PLUM
Add mystery and drama to your look with dark plum lipstick. I personally wouldn't wear it for a daytime, but woud definitely use it for a night out, combined with smudged black eyeliner. This shade creates sexy vampy look and statement lips that will sure get you noticed. I really like this one from Maybelline, that has more of a brown-ish undertone and I also often wear NYX Matte Lipstick in the shade Merlot with beautiful red wine undertone.

I use: Revlon in the shade Red Velvet (for Slovenian readers available here).

Now tell me which shade do you wear on a daily basis and which lipstick color gives you the most confidence? I can't wait to hear your thoughts! Xoxo

The Best For Last

Save the best for last, they say, and fashion month surely sticks to this principle. Paris gave us creme de la creme of all the fashion designers. My favourite was Balmain, who impressed me with its signature bodycon dresses with accentuated waist, bold shoulders and high necklines. You can really see that Olivier Rousteing's bff Kim K. has a big impact on him, since the collection screams her name. He even transformed Kendall into her big sister by changing her color to platinum blonde. I don't know what's his magical power, but somehow he managed to brought all the iconic old cats to the runway - Cindy Crawford, Claudia Shiffer and Naomi Campbell made the show unforgettable.

Let's move on to Chanel, which collection was in the name of pearls, bows and frills. It was classy as always, but I didn't quite like it as much as I usually do. Instead I was blown away by Elie Saab and its rocker-chic pieces. Just take a look at the leather jackets encrusted with pretty flowers.. or long easy dresses fasten with cowboy belts. It was all about the dark romance with a touch of mysteriousness that makes every woman sexy.

Christian Dior stayed true to its minimalism and clean lines. The piece I liked the most was the fur dress coat with deep nekline that Kendall wore on the catwalk. She was like a gothic goddess! Longchamp also had some amazing striped fur pieces & knits and Zuhair Murad's colletion was basically a copy of Elie Saab (which isn't bad at all).

Now enough talking and on to the photos. Here are some of my favourite looks. Which are yours?
