DIY Leather Bracelet

Time for another DIY project! It's weird how I decide to make them, when I have to study the most.. oh well :) This time I made leather jewelry bracelet, for which inspiration I got from D&G baroque style

So, let's start.. these are the things that you need:

Step 1: Cut the leather into two equal pieces and glue them together. They don't have to be the perfect shape, because you can crop them later. Instead of two layers, you can also use just one, but the final result can look little undone, this is why I used two.

Step 2: Bring out your jewels and first just place them on your leather piece so that you roughly see how will the final result look like. When you're sattisfied with the formation and shapes, start gluing them on. I suggest that you use superglue or any other strong glue, so that they don't fall out later.

Step 3: When you're done and happy with the result, it's time to sew the press buttons. I used the ones for which you have to use a hammer, but also the "sewing ones" will be good.

Measure your bracelet on your wrist and mark the spots for buttons. Be careful that you sew them with the right side up!

Step 4: Cut the sides of the leather to create an even shape, put your cool new bracelet on your wrist and you're ready to go! :)

Here's my final result:

Let me know what do you think about it!

Fashion Police At The 2013 Golden Globes

Wiuuuu wiuuu wiuuuu fashion police is here, again! This time I went all the way to Beverly Hills to watch the Golden Globes and see how much stars sinned this time. Well, I was quite dissapointed, since there were only a few fashion fails. Many stars impressed with faboulous outfits, so I cannot quite decide which one was the best. Can you help me?

THE BLACKS

Adele in Burberry (7/10): Expected, elegant, but nothing special. For me she always looks like an old opera singer..maybe a touch of color would change that image.

Rosie Huntington-Whiteley in Saint Laurent (6/10): Little boring, I'd prefer to see her in bright colors and more playful dress.

Salma Hayek in Gucci (8/10): The dress perfectly wraps her curves, very chick and sexy.

Sofia Vergara (3/10): Oh Lord, looks like she's gonna perform in cabaret.. looks cheap and not flettering at all.

Nicole Kidman in Alexander McQueen (7/10): Very sophisticated and elegant, but I'm missing the curves. She looks too slim in the dress.

Kate Hudson also in Alexander McQueen (10/10): Wow, Kate surprised me with her gorgeous body and fresh look. The belt emphasizes her slim waist and adds some curve to the lower part.

THE WHITES

Anne Heathaway in Chanel (5/10): I don't like the outfit. It looks undone. Maybe she should add some bright statement necklace and red lips to make it look more interesting.

Sienna Miller in Erdem (2/10): Sienna sinned, big time! In this two-part dress she looks like an old lady on a horse race, the only thing that's missing is a big hat!

Amy Adams in Marchesa (8/10): Love the dress, but not the color, it kinda looks washed out. Otherwise she looks stunning.

Hayden Panettiere in Roberto Cavalli (9/10): Hayden looks great as always. I love the dress and cute pink clutch. With a big smile on her face, she looks adorable!

Jennifer Lopez in Zuhair Murad (9/10): Typical J.Lo dress if you ask me. We've seen her in this kind of sexy dresses lots of times. But that doesn't mean it looks bad. Not at all, she knows what suits her and owns it!

Lea Michele in Elie Saab (8/10): Lea Michele surprised me, since I usually don't like her red carpet outfits so much. She looks very elegant in white Elie Sabb dress with a little trail. But what's with her height? Was she always so small? :)

THE REDS

Jennifer Lawrence in Dior (10/10): I can say that Jeniffer owned the night in this beautiful Dior gown. The black belt adds the final touch to the whole outfit. Veeery niiiice, Lawrence!

Zooey Dechanel in Oscar de la Renta (7/10): Looks like a bad version of Jennifer. She did a great job by choosing the dress, but bad with accessories. She should get rid of the necklace and just wear full, wavy hairdo. It would look much better.

Jessica Alba in Christian Dior (10/10): I don't know why so many actresses decided to wear shades of red, but is actually working quite well for them. So is for Jessica Alba. No doubt she was a stunner in this coral pink connection. Big fat 10 goes to you, Jessie!

Marion Cottilard also in Dior (9/10): Marion looks stunning in this outfit. Orange color and unique shape of the dress works perfectly for her. You go, Marion!

Naomi Watts in Zac Posen (8/10): Layered burgundy dress suits her great. I also like 50's inspired hairdo, but am not sure about the bag. Maybe silver or gold would suit better.

Jennifer Garner in Viviene Westwood (6/10): I like everything from the neck down.. but the hair and make-up.. look terrible. She should try more polished version of the hairdo and wear dark red lipstick.

PRINTED

Lucy Liu in Carolina Herrera (10/10): Lucy was actually the only one that dared to wear printed dress and it turned out so good and unique! The pattern kinda reminds me of Asia, from where her roots are. Very eye-catching!

Now tell me who was your favorite leading lady on the Golden Globes red carpet?

Summer Dreamin'

“One must maintain a little bittle of summer, even in the middle of winter.”
― Henry David Thoreau

And this is what I do. Every winter I dream of hot summer days and imagine myself lying on the beach under the hot sun.. oh well, I just have to wait few more months and it'll come true. Till then I can just dream about it!

10 things I miss about summer the most:
  • sundresses
  • watermelon
  • the smell of sunscreen
  • swimming in the sea
  • festivals
  • collecting seashells
  • cute swimsuits
  • sexy tanned mens' bodies
  • the sound of ocean waves
  • driving with the top down

Some memories from last vacaction that take me back to the summertime..

Let yourself go, go, gooooo and feel the summer in you heart! ;)

Do it like: Miranda Kerr

Admiring Miranda Kerr's faboulous outfits made me realize there are few clothing pieces that can work casual or elegan, for day- or night-time and can be combined with lots of different pieces. So here I represent to you my 5 key pieces, every woman should have in her closet.

TRENCH COAT
Tailored structure and stiff material of a classic trench coat helps you hide all the little flaws. The belt can be tied tight to dramatically define your waist or loosely for a more casual air. The best part is, the coat goes with everything- from jeans and a tee to a formal gown- and you always look chic in it!

FITTED PAIR OF JEANS
They are comfortable and easy and there isn't much you can't wear them with. As your base, jeans allow you to get glammed up or laid-back, edgy, rugged or grungy- you name it! Combine them with pumps, coat and cute little bag when going to a meeting or pair them with flats, blouse and satchel for a walk around the city.

THE LBD
Little black dress is the one you can always rely on and can never go out of style. It is a piece you pull out of closet when you want to look instantly chic and classic. It's also a transformative must-have. Patterned shoes or bright bag are the easiest way to update your dress. You can also combine it with shiny statement necklace. Pair it with warm cardigan, tights and high-knee boots and you can wear it during your day-time.

LEATHER JACKET
I suggest that you invest in a really good leather jacket, since it's another key piece you can wear anytime and combine with almost everything. Without a doubt, your purchase will be worthwhile. Put it over a lace dress for romantic look or wear it with black pants and loose tee for more rockish style. There are countless options on how to wear it, just be creative.

ANKLE BOOTIES
The ones with medium-high heel are most useful, so you can easily wear them every day and still feel comfortable. Wheather you wear pants or tights, you'll always feel elegant in them. Pair your ankle boots with a dress or skirt when you want to make a statement. This look shows a lot of leg, so make sure you are in shape!
