There's no doubt that pastels have hit the fashion scene big time. They're supposed to be spring trend, but seems like many bloggers are overtaking that 'rule'. Even I've started to adopt this ice-creamy trend very fast and I just love how girly and cute it looks.

So are pastels becoming the new black? I think so! And this is why I decided to make some lovely bracelets (because who says this trend is reserved only for clothes?!). I was inspired by Pandora bracelets and Swarowski jewelry and I really like the final result. See for yourself!

Supplies:

The main thing about making these bracelets is to find great supplies. When you have those, there's really not much work left, because the process is just very easy. When it comes to DIY projects, endlessleather.com is my go-to online store, since they really have everything you need! From leather cords to rhinestones and bracelet locks- I purchased everything on their site.

Step 1: Measure your wrist and cut the leather cords at the wanted lenght (you can also wrap them twice around).

Step 2: Take the end cup and place it at the end of the cord. The great thing about these cups is that they fit perfectly, so you can easily attach them with some superglue.

 

Step 3: Place your beads. You can add just one or even ten and play with different color combinations. The beads are made of stainless steel and the rhinestones in them look just like the Swarovski ones. So luxe!

Step 4: Place the closure at the other end of the cord.

Step 5: Put it on your wrist and you're 'pastel-ready!' Don't they look so prestige?

Extra: Play around and make different kind of bracelets or wear them with your usual jewelry. Here are some ideas:

It's been sooo long since my last DIY project, so it was about time to do one! Some time ago I found a great idea on this blog on how to re-use your old watch and make it look modern and chic. So I decided to do it and now I'm sharing the whole process with you!

 

Here are the tools that I used:

The hardest thing for me was to find an old watch, since you can get other tools in almost any art shop. The fishtail chain I purchased on wanderandhunt.com, which is a great site, where you can find so many great tutorials and they offer a lot of DIY tools, beads, charms, etc. Of course you can also use any other chain, but this one really cought my eye, because is so special and I haven't seen any watch strap like this before.

Step 1: Remove the old straps, so you get a bare watch. Don't remove the little sticks, because you'll need them for attaching your chain.

Step 2: Attach the chain on the watch with little rings. Place one on each side.

Step 3: Measure the chain by putting it around your wrist and then cut both sides at the same lenght.

Step 4: Attach bracelet locks on both ends.

Last time I talked about new DIY projects that are on the way and well, here is the first one! I did a simple leather bracelet with a knot, which kind of reminds me of the sea and is perfect for summer trips. It can be a great adition to striped navy blue dress! So, let's start. Here's what you need:

I got the leather cords on this site, where you can choose from lots of different colors and styles. I've chosen red and metallic one, since the material look so unique that the bracelet can be simple but yet looks chic. Forceps and bracelet locks are available in any art store. If they are well-stocked, you can choose from different shades, such as silver, gold or metallic black. 

Step 1: Cut the cords to the lenght that you want (before that, measure your wrist). If you buy 1m long cord, you can use it for 3 or even 4 bracelets.

Step 2: Double wrap the cord and tighten it so you get a nice knot.

Step 3: Attach the locks with the forceps.

Step 4: Close the ends and tadaaa- the bracelet is done! Very easy, right?

You can wear single bracelet or combine two together. Let me know if you like it!?

Time for another DIY project! It's weird how I decide to make them, when I have to study the most.. oh well :) This time I made leather jewelry bracelet, for which inspiration I got from D&G baroque style. 

So, let's start.. these are the things that you need:

Step 1: Cut the leather into two equal pieces and glue them together. They don't have to be the perfect shape, because you can crop them later. Instead of two layers, you can also use just one, but the final result can look little undone, this is why I used two.

Step 2: Bring out your jewels and first just place them on your leather piece so that you roughly see how will the final result look like. When you're sattisfied with the formation and shapes, start gluing them on. I suggest that you use superglue or any other strong glue, so that they don't fall out later.

Step 3: When you're done and happy with the result, it's time to sew the press buttons. I used the ones for which you have to use a hammer, but also the "sewing ones" will be good. 

Measure your bracelet on your wrist and mark the spots for buttons. Be careful that you sew them with the right side up!

Step 4: Cut the sides of the leather to create an even shape, put your cool new bracelet on your wrist and you're ready to go! :)

STEP 1: First you have to cut the wanted shape out of the felt. It can be smaller or wider than mine, it really depends on your style. Next thing is to sew the jewels.. one by one.. till you're done! You can use jewels of different colors like me or different shades of same color.. there are a lot options, just be creative and use your imagination!

STEP 2: What's left is to sew the ribbons at the ends of the felt, bind them up around your neck and you're ready to rock! ;)

I'm very happy with final result and I think that both necklaces catch the eye! Which one do YOU prefer?
